Sources: Strikeforce event targeted for May 19 in San Jose
Strikeforce's next major event could land in the promotion's birthplace.
Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that San Jose, Calif.'s HP Pavilion is targeted for a Strikeforce event on May 19, though the location has yet to be finalized.
No matchups have been confirmed for the event's fight lineup, which would include a main card on Showtime and prelims on Showtime Extreme.

Champ Frankie Edgar: Size is no issue against Benson Henderson at UFC 144
TOKYO - If UFC lightweights were reptiles, Ben Henderson would be Godzilla, and Frankie Edgar would be a GEICO lizard.
But Edgar, who puts his UFC lightweight title on the line at Saturday's big UFC 144 event in Japan, doesn't believe size will be an issue at the event.
After all, he's used to being the 155-pound division's little guy.

NSAC temporarily suspends UFC’s Nick Diaz, disciplinary hearing upcoming
The Nevada State Athletic Commission today voted to formalize a temporary suspension issued to Nick Diaz in the wake of his positive drug test for marijuana.
A formal disciplinary hearing is now expected at a date to be determined.
Now-UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit outpointed Diaz at UFC 143 on Feb. 4 in Las Vegas. Diaz's post-fight drug test then revealed the presence of marijuana metabolites.

Bristol Marunde agrees to fight ‘Jacare’ at ‘Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey’
Current Super Cage Combat middleweight champion Bristol Marunde has agreed to fight ex-Strikeforce titleholder Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza at next week's "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" event.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker today announced the new booking.
Souza's original opponent, undefeated Derek Brunson, was forced off the card on Tuesday after failing a pre-event vision test.

Former title challenger Dan Hardy will look to end his lengthy UFC losing skid against Duane "Bang" Ludwig.
UFC officials today announced the welterweights have verbally agreed to meet at UFC 146.
The event takes place May 26 in Las Vegas at MGM Grand Garden Arena, likely with a heavyweight headliner between champion Junior Dos Santos and top contender Alistair Overeem.

Bellator returns to Canada’s Casino Rama for Bellator 67 on May 4
Bellator is returning to Casino Rama for a third time overall - and to Canada for the second time in four weeks.
Officials today announced Bellator 67 is slated to take place May 4 at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario.
No fights are announced for the card, though it's expected to feature second-round matches from Bellator's upcoming season-six tournaments.
